Knitted Chair etc etc.

Hey! Long time no see! I’ve been a super busy bunny the last few days. I didn’t feel too bright at the weekend but dragged myself out and had a great day at Smithills Food and Craft fair in Bolton, thanks to everyone who came out and bought from me- much love. It was great to see some of my crafting buddies again and eat some DELICIOUS cup cakes too.

On Sunday we went over to Harrogate and I saw some gorgeous stuff, so much that I would have bought if I had the money. In particular I am lusting after this chair and all the cushions/light fittings that go with it by Deryn Relph! Suddenly I am seeing knitted furniture everywhere and loving it. Got some great ideas for projects when we get back to uni on the knitting machines…might have to run myself a few of these cushions up me thinks, just feast your eyes!

My love for this furniture and other interior bits and bobs by Deryn Relph is definitely fuelled by my utter adoration for pom-pom trim, but the colours and pattern combinations are just AMAZING! I am in love…in fact I may be tempted to sell my boyfriend for that chair if the offer arose! *cheeky*

On the other side of things, if- like me- you are sadly too poor to afford such a beautiful piece of furniture then you do have the alternative of a bit of D.I.Y yarn bombing furniture, such as this…

If and when I get the time I will most definitely be having a go at this, I doubt it will turn out so well but, hey ho give it a go!
